I've never been more confused when using the TAF site. I logged in to renew my football tickets, but wanted to see if i paid my TAF membership. Now if you try to login on the taf website it sends you to the LSU sports website. The membership levels don't seem clear, i can't even tell if i still get 3 pts for my 100-dollar annual membership.

Not to mention i don't understand how TAF and the NIL collective work together.

Maybe im an idiot, but I feel like this backs up the rumors that LSU has really dropped the ball in the NIL era.

Well, for starters, they don’t work together.

Nah maybe we just have unintelligent fans. Is it LSU’s job to explain it to you like a 5 year old?

Upcoming football recruiting class, baseball and womens hoops having big success getting stars to come here, and having a documentary about our school's approach to NIL coming out all seem to suggest otherwise. NIL is fine.

It’s my understanding the $100 donation doesn’t earn 3 points any more. I called a couple of years ago for them to explain everything and what advantage is it for me to continue with that donation. I had a little better understanding but my head was still spinning. I’m still donating the $100 along with the seat donation.

I agree and it isn't so cut and dry. I did mine last night.

I agree with you, Barry, that TAF does a poor job of communicating with its "customer" (donor) base.

Their automated point system has improved a bit over the past year in that when you make an online donation, the Priority Points for that donation are posted to your account within one business day. It used to take weeks before the additional points showed up.

It was poorly communicated, IMO, but the annual loyalty bonus points you're referring to went away a couple or maybe three years ago.

I happened to notice I wasn't getting the annual "loyalty" bonus points so I called TAF and spoke with a lady who handles the Priority Points accounting. (I believe her name is Amanda.) She explained that loyalty bonus points are now only given at 10 years, 20 years and 30 years of consecutive giving and not annually.

EDIT: Regarding TAF and Bayou Tradition, the official LSU NIL collective, being connected, they aren't.

It's my understanding they can't be connected if they are to meet the NCAA's rules as well as the state of Louisiana's law regarding NIL.

That's why you have to set up a separate account, i.e., sign-in ID and password, for NIL (Bayou Tradition Collective) giving as opposed to TAF giving.

I just signed on to TAF and this did not happen. Once signed in, the site shows me what I owe for this year.
