I have lived in Berlin for almost 6 years now and I can tell you it is much worse than you think. They don't have anyone here even willing to fight. Anyone that would be willing to fight is labeled as a 'Rechtsextremist' (Right-Wing extremist). I've come out of the grocery store before, seen a man dressed in military fatigues, and a person just screamed at them for no reason. I've been told by people that have become close to me (so I tend to believe what they tell me), that they used to think, just let the americans go fight and they will contribute money. They really have no idea and don't understand at all what the current climate is like in the US.
