I have no intention of ever going electric, but the factory tires on all electric will have the same issue as any factory GM or Ford tire. It is engineered for comfort, quiet, and handling. Puncture resistance and longevity are not their concern.
Nissan had to completely reengineer the mirrors and the wipers on the original LEAF. When there is minimal mechanical noise... Simple wind noise, tire noise, and electric accessories seem deafening

A few months ago, my FIL was railing against EVs and citing to their weight damaging the roads. I pointed out that his SUV weighed more than the EV cars he was railing against. He changed the subject
