It’s hilarious that politicians tote around “save our democracy”…

Then we have a democratic vote, and a subset of the population then screams “no not that kind of democracy!”

Politics on a national stage is sickening, but it feels often futile and unchangeable.
But this was here at home and a whole region of the parish voiced their will, and the local ruling class simply is trying to not allow it because they don’t like the outcome.

Explain to me how that’s not a dictatorship.

Because a vote only counts when it works out in their favor. Otherwise, they keep trying to find ways to re-dress the pig until it gets approved.


The EU had a lot of this some years back when they forced a new constitution to be voted on by each country without their input and got pissy when countries told them to frick off.
