Ah, because lawsuits are cheap and quick. This is not a REC league , they do not have to play you at all. They can sit your kid on the bench the rest of the season, do not need a reason and you cannot force them to play your kid.
Sitting through it now, you could tell they were going through the minimum effort to check off a box. Labeling it as DEI was probably more detrimental, than using the old terms we knew of harrassment/anti-bullying. Those are classes I sat through in the 80s in school.
What was covered, should be handled by parents already. Do not use racial slurs against people, however we know the current state of parenting in this country.
