re: I have a beep in the house. It is a threat to my sanity.

My bedroom tv comes on randomly between 3-5am almost every morning. I’ve tried everything, it has no external inputs, reset factory settings, and turned off any timers. It’s not even every morning and it’s not the exact same time. The beep is aggravating and so is waking up to the tv on.

Did it start beeping at 3 while everyone was sleeping? If so, it’s definitely a smoke detector.
I swear every single one of these darn things is programmed to do exactly that.

I inspected a house for a Real Estate Company. Last thing she said was "Find the ghost" 4 million dollar unfinished home. I carry a ghost chaser in my car. I took it with me. Turn this sucker on and shadows are chased from every corner in a room. I walked in "Bump" set my watch five minutes..six, four, one....no rhythm to the sound ....nothing on the top two floors. Walked into the basement....turned the corner and looked into a pitch black room. "BUMP" turned on the light and set it at the door. The entire security system was in the room. All the home theater equipment ......Bump. Denon Home Theater had graphics on the display panel ...."BUMP"
I figured out that a power surge had damaged the receiver. Turned that off and the ghost disappeared ...
Disconnect everything electronic, then start plugging it back in one at a time ....

If you’re sure it’s not a smoke detector, check any power strips/surge protectors you have. I have one that chirps like two times a second if it stays on for longer than a couple days.

It’s always our dishwasher.
I don’t know why the fricking thing feels the need to let me know it finished the dishes I put in there 14 hours ago. Congrats for half arse doing your job but still probably leaving pieces of food stuck to everything you Korean piece of shite.

Perhaps a universal backup power supply for a computer or like somebody else said surge protector or power brick

It's your electric razor or electric toothbrush.

Good call. I unplugged the razor charger. Let's see what happens.

We had one in our garage and we thought it was something on the car. Turns out it was on the garage door opener (overhead part) with a battery low warning.
Didn't even know it had a batter back up.

I had a similar issue before- ended up being a smoke detector attached to an old security system in my crawl space. The prior owner had done that set up, I have never used/had the security system.

My cousin complained about the same thing and was put into an insane asylum. Relax McMurphy. I’ll bet Cheswick or Mr Harding could find it . Or tell Martino that his cigarettes are beeping. Mystery solved!

Are the houses in your neighborhood close together? You might’ve pissed off your neighbor, like in cinema classic Grumpy Old Men:

You may have a road runner trapped in your house. Acme has supplies that help deal with the issue.

UPS on computer? Had that once...changed pitch and beeped every 15 minutes. Drove me bonkers trying to find it.

I'll put a non-comprehensive list of some things to check, it's amazing the things that may beep for low batteries or error conditions.
Good luck
Smoke/gas detectors
Computers
Modems
Network switches
Routers
Soundbars
TVs
Garage Door Openers
Security cameras/NVRs
Treadmills/exercise equipment with electronic displays/controls

Maybe an electronic device with a low-battery warning?? Portable telephone?
Posted on 1/20/24 at 1:52 pm to LegendInMyMind
It is probably the transmitter in your covid fax. Put your ear closer to your shoulder
