After being a long-time AT&T customer (Suncom->Bellsouth->Cingular->AT&T), I finally got sick of their high price and failures during the flood and Ida. I initially swapped to Verizon, but I had MANY dead-zones in the BR area including at my work. I switched to T-Mobile and have been absolutely happy with it. I haven't experienced any holes in the Baton Rouge area.

That sucks. I've always felt like AT&T had the best service in BR and the surrounding areas. We do need some rural coverage as we have friends and family in places like Terrebonne, Lafayette, False River, St Francisville, etc. My experience with T-Mobile has ok, but i'd drop calls driving down essen and my phone showed zero service. 200 feet later and the service is maxed out.

You must not travel I-10 from Kenner to BR much. There's at least 3 spots service drops during peak travel hours.
