Guess none of my trucks over the past 20+ years got the memo that they were supposed to shite out the trans.

I agree I only had one tranny go since the 1978.

It was a due to a bad transmission cooler / radiator all in one piece. It was on a new truck that did not make it off the lot. Dealer switched it out to a separate transmission cooler and radiator.

I am pretty consistent on changing my rear end fluid and tranny fluid & filter if applicable which probably helps.

Guess not. I’ve had to put three transmissions in GMCs in the last 10 years. Simple Google search will show your vehicles are an anomaly. If you want proof, the next time you are near a transmission shop, stop and ask them what keeps them the busiest. Almost invariably they will say GMs are what keeps them in business, followed by Nissan.
