These are all the famous ones from the 80s when they actually had good teams. There’s an entire menu of “signature losses” they’ve had since the return in 99. Basically at least one very year. Collapse against the Bears in 01, the Dwayne Rudd helmet game, bottlegate, the Dennis Northcut drop, the Jamal Lewis game, the Jets last year, etc.

What really sucks for Cleveland is that the Ravens have been a borderline top 5 franchise in the NFL since they moved.

Well, I'd suggest that a "signature loss" would be famous, from when a team is good

It's different than regular ineptitude. It's snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
