I sell tires for a living and I would highly recommend the Cooper AT3/Road&Trail or the Cooper Rugged Trek's. I just had a guy come in to get a new set of Cooper RT's and he had over 100k on his old set. It was all highway miles and they were there was little tread left but that's insane for a tire like that. There are other good brands as well, but for the price, you can't beat the Cooper's.

Big cooper AT3 fan here. I generally get 80k+ on a set and replace them before they really need it.

How loud are the Coopers on the highway?

This. I have 101k miles on my set of Cooper AT3's right now. Won't be much longer and I'll replace them with another set of Coopers. Only had 4 punctures in all those miles and only rotated every 5,500 or so miles.
