What was great last night against OM was that when he pulled the starters except for Wright I think, you would expect them to give up some of the lead but they held the lead and I believe added to it a bit. that was really awesome while the starters were getting some rest.

I've always said I thought the talent was better than the performance. That's slowly starting to even out, hope it keeps up.

LSU's strength (outside of the PG position) is that they have a lot of options on the roster. The weakness is that they have a lot of options on the roster...meaning that outside of Wright right now there is no one who has really been consistent. That probably explains a lot of why LSU has been a much better second half team this season. The coaching staff has to spend the first half trying to figure out which guys are "on" that night, and which ones aren't.

Doc Rivers had a good comment the other night during an NBA broadcast where he said every coach would rather have 8 good, consistent players instead of a deep, but inconsistent roster because it allows the coach to know who he can rely on each night. Outside of Cook and Wright, I don't think McMahon has that right now. It's a lot of mixing and matching early until he can (hopefully) figure out his best rotation for the night.
