re: This board wanted to hire Chris Beard, right?

It’s a good win for LSU. One that should be celebrated. One I was at the game pulling for them to get. But to act like ONE result somehow mitigates a career of good success is absurd.

In his second season at Iowa St former Murray St HC Steve Prohm beat Beard in his first season at Texas Tech. A few years later Beard played for a National Championship. Prohm got fired after a season where he won 2 games…total. Did that one win mean Prohm was a better coach? Sylvester Croom beat Nick Saban in his first year at Alabama. Good thing Alabama didn’t fire that bum Saban who was clearly the inferior coach.

Point is tonight should be celebrated for LSU. I am. But that doesn’t mean Beard isn’t a great HC. His resume speaks for itself
