Sad part of the Cologuard test is that most insurance providers use that test as your colon cancer test putting you on the hook for more out of pocket costs if the Cologuard test comes back positive requiring a Colonoscopy as a follow up test.
Also, those testing companies love the fact that your insurance picks up most of the costs because the Cologuard test is actually more expensive than a colonoscopy. It also misses any precancerous polyps in the colon. The Cologuard test is really on a test for cancer and not something that can be used to prevent cancer by removing pre cancerous polyps.
