My friends daughter transitioned to a boy. We didn’t discuss it then nor do we now. We’re still friends because of that

Daughter raised by liberal mom thinks lowly of men so she “becomes a lesbian”. Then, seeing this, younger sibling decides she’s trans (when she’s really not). Nope, no social conditioning or grooming going on in that house. No playbook whatsoever

Close, the lesbian is the younger sibling. She was 13 or 14 when the older sibling said she was trans.

I actually blame my buddy for it. The first girl was so prissy that the second one is a tom boy

But she was raised around men. At 11 she'd give someone 20 and under a verbal thrashing if they screwed up cleaning a deer.

And she's about as hard nosed as they come.

Good kid, now that she's driving, she's had a few girlfriends. She might be a lesbian, if she isn't, whatever guy swoops her off her feet better be some combination of a viking mixed with a poet.

Doubtful. By age 25 there's not much parents can do.

I’d start by telling him I loved him no matter what. Then I would frame counseling as such “I’m having a hard time understanding why you are feeling this way. Can we go see a counselor together to facilitate these conversations?” The underlying reasons may (or not) come out. Maybe he’s autistic, maybe he was molested, maybe he is gay and afraid to admit it.. The rest is in Gods hands.

Tell everyone that his son is a Navy Seal. Then, tell them that he died defending his country.

Yeah, right. Keep telling yourself that.

Who pays for this? As a parent I sure wouldn't pay for this. I don't think any medical insurance would pay for this because it's an elective procedure. I'm sure it's expensive. Does the kid have his own money to pay for this?

You ca. all United Health and ask them yourself. I was surprised when he told me it was covered. I, like you don’t think it should be. Pressure from the left liberal democrats probably made them cover it.

Right from their website.

Effective Jan. 1, 2023, UnitedHealthcare to expand gender dysphoria benefits
To support transgender health, self-funded plan members will have access to expanded coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2023, as customers renew.

Story did not fall apart.
