Marriott trains their desk employees to say "Thank you for your service" when you present a USAA credit card for payment. After a while, I got tired of explaining that I didn't serve, I inherited the privilege of a USAA account, and started saying "my pleasure" back to them (I used to spend a lot of time in Marriotts).

Is that stolen valor? Am I an a-hole?
