I lost my husband, then Covid happened, and life was pretty much suspended for a few years. Last summer I had a health scare. It was a false alarm , but it made me resolve to not die with money in the bank. Ive booked a 3 + week trip to Africa for later this year, bought several new cameras and lenses, gone to Yellowstone and the Tetons, then the Everglades , and home to Louisiana for Christmas, all since August. (That doesn’t count new tires, work on the car, new flooring, etc)
My plan is coming along nicely. In fact, I may run out of $$$ sooner rather than later….hahahaha…..

We meet one a quarter with our retirement account manager and he is big on don't die and leave a bunch of $$$ around for the kids to argue over....enjoy life, see things, etc.
During our last meeting as we went over a few things we have planned he gave my wife one of those rubber wrist braclet that says "what are you waiting on".
You go for it girl. Enjoy life now.
