Go visit the Grove Park Inn. If unfamiliar, it’s a historic arts and crafts style inn made of stone and wood. They encourage outside visitors to come check out the public areas. The main lobby with 24 ft high ceilings and huge fireplaces has a bar with amble seating and table service for drinks. You can also make reservations on the sunset terrace for lunch or dinner. The terrace has awesome views of the mountains and downtown Asheville. If you ever go back to Asheville you’ll want to stay here next.

There is an arts district in Asheville.

Definitely get on the Blue Ridge Parkway and go east for at least a half hour or so. Wonderful views.

Asheville is a common topic on this board. Sometimes multiple times a month. Use the search function and you’ll find tons of recommendations for food and breweries.
