My house is on piers and I need to put something before this freeze, what's the cheapest and easiest way to go?

You're trying to wrap the whole underside of the house?

wrap the whole thing in visqueen and put a salamander in there. Get the reinforced visqueen.

Tar paper. Staple gun and wooden stakes if there’s no wood at the lower area of the home.

When we first moved into our house which was 4 ft off the ground we would put visqueen on the north side and stapled to a 2x4 at the bottom for some weight. looks a little trashy but worked very well.

last year i used styrofaom insulation board cut in half lengthwise. 1in x 4ft x 8ft. i used the wood stakes for concrete forms they sell in bundles to hold it tight against the house. it stayed up for 3 months no problem and didn't have any issues with frozen pipes
