No doubt he was the recipient of gifts from the Birmingham SEC offices. Does this retirement news also stench of the Georgia AND Florida State playoff snub? Want to know

Bama had one loss and won the SEC. Any SEC team that accomplished that gets in the playoff.

2012 , Bama didn't win the conference, let alone their division and yet they got to play for National Championship. They loved Saban

Got to ask do you think if Saban retired last year , would FSU get snubbed again this year ???

I believe Saban got preferential treatment .

If Fla St QB doesn’t get hurt they stay home. That’s the fact.

Alabama got into the championship game in Jan 2012 because most people thought they were the best team in America and EVERYONE thought they were one of the top two. That was the only criteria.

I think Ga.was better than Texas. If Bama beats Michigan they would have killed Washington.

UGA had a great shot at the CFP but they LOST to Alabama. UGA did not deserve a bid over Texass or Wash or Mich.

Alabama got to play one less game than LSU and lost at home to LSU, thus should have negated their shot at the title. Saban whined his way to that title.
I still remember that goofy Les Miles saying "It would be an honor to play that team (Bama) again"
Les should have said... "We beat them, who's next."

An imperfect Bama season does not trump a perfect FSU season. The human factor is flawed.

UGA did not deserve to get in the playoffs over Alabama, should have beat them.

Now if you want to argue FSU with/without their QB okay.

To the extent I think they were one of the four best teams, yes I do.

Will be curious to see if the refs call a few more penalties now that he’s gone.

That’s EXACTLY what gets them into the playoffs - the opinion of the committee. Sorry to say, YOU are the idiot.
