True, but when you ski in bounds at a ski area you assume that the terrain they open is safe to access. There are reasons places within the ski area are open and closed. Seems like someone in snow safety made a critical error.
And FWIW, I worked in the ski industry for close to 20 years....

Would think people who ski in areas like this would have some sort of oxygen tank to keep them alive for a few minutes. Was in a small one in Japan, they don't have high altitude mountains like we have, thank goodness.
