The teen's father, whom PEOPLE is not identifying in order to protect the victim’s confidentiality, allegedly told the second witness that he didn’t stop the relationship because he believed they would continue to have the relationship behind his back anyway, the statement says.
The father was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to jail records. It is not clear if he has retained an attorney or entered a plea.

The young man is not a victim. Sixteen year olds can get married in many states. So much for his choice, his body.
As to the father, he thought his son was identifying as 21.
Looked up age of consent in Missouri, it is 17. Ridiculous.

Everyone defending this dad is messed up. A 16 year old has no business having sexual relations with anyone much less a teacher.
Dads need to do a better job of raising their boys to be good, dependable male figures. Moral, upstanding men.
And I'm not a religious man. And moral teachings and foundations are important. I'd wager to say that many of the people claiming this is ok also claim to be Christians.

Dailymail published his photo.
I get the spirit of the law. If a parent knowingly lets a pedo into their home to molest their young child, then the parent should be held accountable.
But, in this case I agree the kid probably isn't a victim, but this woman shouldn't be allowed to teach again.

If it was a male teacher and a 16-year-old girl, this wouldn't be a question.
