Like AJ being a football star.

He wasn't a star. He was on the 9th grade team and an average player who sometimes showed effort and 'good' play and other times not. He was supposed to mirror Tony when he was that age - "You never had the makings of a Varsity Athlete"

Jackie Jr. was one of the funniest characters on the show.

Remember when Junior said Jackie almost drowned in 2" of water

Adriana is still the hottest in that show to me. The gaudy goombah makeup, clothes, hair really fit her.

Watched some interviews with her, and it didn't really feel like the character was much of a stretch for her.

Carmella was attractive enough. I think it was a thrill thing, hooking up with the boss's wife taboo. That's how I viewed it.

I'm not sure why but I thought she was kind of sexy. I've been watching the marathon and in season 5 she had somewhat normal hair and was especially tan for some reason, I definitely thought she was frickable. Decent arse too

Also the way that they portrayed Carmella as some sort of babe. They had Furio & the Construction Guy on the verge of risking their lives to get with a Mob boss's wife because she was just so irresistible, when in reality she is not even remotely attractive. Ugly face, old & wrinkled, horrible "mom bod". But Furio almost killed Tony just so he could have this 40ish hag because she was supposed to be so desirable

I think Carmella’s allure to Furio was the forbidden fruit factor. Also, he was completely alone in America, and Carmella presented more in terms of companionship. Though Furio and Adrianna did have drugs in common, it would’ve been messy story-wise with the tension between her and Tony already.

Same with the handyman and Carmella. A death wish, since his wife had passed. Neither of those guys were happy or even content.

I’m currently doing a rewatch and the Furio/Carmella thing just started. Furio just now almost pushed Tony into the tail rotor of a helicopter while Tony was pissing

My god, I forgot how shitty that whole storyline was

-AJ possibly playing football for Arizona or Arizona State (even as a walk on) was beyond absurd. The guidance counselor mentioned football as an 'ace in the hole' for his college apps.

-Christopher and Paulie would never have gotten away with the murder at the lobster restaurant.

I really wasn't a fan of Junior's character but that line always makes me laugh.

I would think a lot of those murders would’ve been investigated.

I just saw an article that will make folks feel old maybe. The guy who played AJ is now the same age James Gandolfini was when the Sopranos debuted. Damn

I know it is a difference of about 20 years but there were a LOT of bodies from NY and NJ who never really got investigated because they were mob hits, sanctioned or otherwise.

Henry Hill told stories about how there were people getting whacked for stupid reasons, such as a union guy who pissed off his crew by being a hardass. They ended up driving out to Jersey later on to rough him up and were so pissed off they just went ahead and killed him.

Sounds an awful lot like Paulie and Chris killing the waiter.

I can believe that, except I just wouldn’t think that’d be the case in the late 90s-early 00s.
