6 teams this year had 2 punt return TDs. Another 36 teams had 1 punt return TD. We had less than 100 punt return yards all season long. Thats the 2nd season in a row we've had under 100 punt return yards all season long. 26 teams had at least 200 punt return yards this past season and 31 teams had at least 200 punt return yards in 2022.

We've got a lot of room for improvement there. Is it hugely game impacting? Obviously not near as big as offense/defense, but its something with solid coaching and someone who knows how to return a punt can get A LOT better

However strictly speaking on punt return yardage, stuff like that can flip the field, giving you shorter fields. Screw the thoughts of TDs. For instance, getting the ball at the 50 and getting just 10 yards on a return can put you in FG position if you get just 8 yards on that drive.
