Also throw in 2016 Ensminger Bama 10 LSU 0

Many of the same players in 2018 were back in 2019. Yet the playcalling and approach in 2019 was COMPLETELY different than anything Ensminger had done prior. Including his stint as OC in 2016.

So what's more likely?

Ensminger who had been at LSU since 2010 was sitting on the most explosive offense for a decade waiting for just the right moment to deploy it...OR

The new addition as co-OC completely changed the approach/play calling?

As for the OP's question, I think the reason is because Brady's addition coincided with a MASSIVE change in the way LSU played offense prior to his arrival. On the flip side, Denbrock was here in 2022 when LSU's offense was more or less average. The 2023 version of that offense from a playcalling/approach perspective didn't look all that different from 2022 (as opposed to 2018 vs 2019). It's that Daniels, the OL, and WRs executed it at a MUCH higher level in 2023. Daniels still ran a lot in 2023. The big difference was he was willing to throw the deep ball in 2023 that he was reluctant to throw in 2022, and he was able to do so with great accuracy. Is that in part a byproduct of good coaching? Absolutely. But 2019 is looked at as a result of a wholesale scheme change were 2023 is looked at more of a result of immense player improvement.

The scores indicate the defense got worse. Or Bama offense improved.
