I just meant that I find it funny due to the "Death Penalty" they got for paying players many moons ago.

Just for clarification- the schools don’t contribute to these collectives and they don’t pay anything to players whatsoever.
The money comes from donors to the funds which are run by outside people.
The collectives go to business and get money and then go out and pay the players.
