I would not be disappointed if the Pels stand pat with this roster. Play out the season, and lets see what happens. There's only one team I fear in the west is OKC. Memphis not far behind.
There is only one trade I would make, and that's if the other team would entertain it. Straight up trade that makes the Pelicans a serious contender for the title. Zion for Bam. Trust me. Zion is playing better, but it seems to me that when he sits the Pels play better. More ball movement. Bam is a force. A tenacious defender. Runs the court, durable, has a great inside game, and mid range game. I wouldn't make the trade if I was Pat Riley, but I would make the call if I was David Griffin.
Please, never ever consider trading Dyson Daniels, Herb Jones, Hawkins, Trey. It's hard to believe Pel fans, but this team is very close to contending for the west crown.

I think if both teams are healthy then I can't see the Pel's beating the Clippers or Denver.
Grizz won't make it and OKC are on the same tier as the Pels.
In a 7 game series I think they match up with everyone close enough to think that they don't need to make any changes.
If there isn't a sure thing trade available then just get under the tax so that you aren't a repeater and hope that the core they have can stay helathy and build.
Both BI and Trey don't need to be decided until 2025, so its only JV and Naji that are free agents.
Both JV and Naji should be retained and then used in trades to upgrade next season using their salary to match another core piece coming in via trade.
This team is close.
