Come on man. You don't seriously think I didn't know that the discussion revolved around improving the team?

What about the team? Shooting, defense, post play, activity,.....What are you trying to improve ABOUT the team? What do you feel is lacking?

I don't think anyone truly thinks we can beat a Denver or a Boston, so upgrades should at the very least be explored.

Is there a player available that instantly puts NOLA in a position to compete with Denver or Boston? If not, then nothing should be explored. Are we looking for something this season, or future?

This is a given, but i don't see a trade available that improves this team that much. Of course, I'm a message board poster, not an NBA GM.

And how do you reach that conclusion without...exploring?

It needs to be now, Zion is in year 5, BI year 8....we're wayyyyyyyy behind schedule. We shouldn't dick around another season.

I'd think if you think there is no player we can add to this core to make you think we can compete with a Denver or Boston, then short of the owner just cashing checks for a profit, there's no real reason to keep this core together, so we should move to pivot off of BI/Zion.

We also don't know who is available, NBA GMs will know that. And another also, I never said make a trade for the sake of making a trade. I said an upgrade needs to be explored.

I can't think of any good reason as a fan for not wanting to explore upgrades unless, again, you think as presently constructed, you're confident we can beat any team.
