Lauri would be coming in to be the starting 5, not starting with Jonas.
We'd still need a big body bench 5, as well as keeping Larry.

The same line of thought applies. But now you need him to bring even more value since you're taking a little hit at rebounding. With Zion, BI, and CJ, he's not going to average much more points per game than what Jonas gives you now and not more than what Trey could give you with starter minutes.

If this was a team that didn't have CJ, then sure, make a big move and sacrifice your key young talent and go for a win now move. This current roster doesn't get THAT much better with Lauri on it.

Think about what Boston just did.
They have Tatum and Brown (Zion and BI), went get Porzingis and Jrue, and also still have Derrick White.
Granted Jrue is averaging the least amount of points he ever has, but yes someone has to sacrifice some points.
That's two guys they added that have average 19ppg for quite some time.

I think Mobley is the much better fit than Lauri, as he'd be better averaging 15ppg and begin the defensive anchor for us, and the more you look at it, the Cavs might be better off with Trey/Allen than Mobley/Allen.
