No way in hell I'm giving up Trey + assets for Lauri. And I like Lauri more than most, that's who I wanted in the Lonzo trade. Lauri isn't going to average 23 and 9 on this team.
Not blaming you here but Lauri is worth wayyyyyy more than Trey in terms of trade value.

I'm all for inquiring about Lauri but I imagine the asking price and subsequent bidding war will have his price be at a spot I wouldn't want us to win.

I know his trade value is higher, he's the better player right now.

If you trade for Lauri, you I guess drop Herb to the bench. Lauri probably averages 16-17 ppg with Zion, BI, CJ, and Jonas. On the other hand you insert Trey into the starting lineup and give him 33 mpg that Lauri gets (7 mpg more than he is getting now), he is at least averaging 16-17 ppg.

Does Lauri bring you that much added benefit elsewhere to justify giving up Hawkins, picks, and added salary? Because offensively you're not gaining much if you were to insert Trey into the starting lineup as opposed to Lauri.
