Noticed he hadn't post anything about the Bryce commitment. How do you guys think his career at LSU will play out now that we have Bryce. Seems like a great kid and is all LSU but in this day and age you can't keep them all. Thoughts?

i was wondering when a thread about him would pop up.

i think he's mature and probably wants bryce to get the attention.

he's not afraid of competition and knows what he can do, himself.

aaaaaand, i speak for more than a few tigers that are happy to have Colin Hurley.

I think he and Brice are the same age. Colin reclassified to the 24 class. There will be competition!

Only one will make more than one year. My guess is Underwood. Just the way it is.

A good program should take a quarterback every class. If you dont want competition against some of the best the country has to offer then an elite program like LSU isnt for you. And this isnt directed at any one player, you need competition

I think it will play out exactly like it does for every other school, including now at LSU. They will all compete, they will make each other better, become good buddies, learn under a great offensive coordinator/ QB coach and one of them will eventually play. I’m not discounting Rickie Collins either.

That guy has tremendously improved and it will be very hard for both guys to beat him out for playing time. Collins can start his 3rd season at LSU when one is a true freshman and the other is a RS freshman.

Nuss will be gone and Collins will have a huge leg up on both guys. That’s why we picked up another QB to compete with Collins as a back up and starter when those times come. Both will still be freshman at that point. It’s a long way away from either starting at LSU. I love our current QB recruiting. Our staff knows exactly what we need to stay competitive at that position.

Collins will be a very good QB folks! It looks like he will have an extremely talented offense to work with as well. From OL all the way down to TE. We have a solid future offense.

Underwood and Hurley are going to be the next wave and my hope is that the defensive talent will have time to catch up when they are ready to take over the offense. I think that’s when LSU will be a powerhouse and regularly in the top 5 and the playoffs.

I think next year will be the launching point to that era of LSU football but we might have to battle it out the next two seasons to get there. We’ll be good but not where we all want to be.

He was already asked about Bryce and it doesn't deter him at all.

I'm just tripping over the fact that LSU might be so loaded at QB that it could be an issue.

This is like some sort of bizzaro world we're living in where LSU is pumping out Heisman QBs but they desperately need help in the Secondary and D line.

So, a 16 year old not tweeting is newsworthy now?

The dude is a competitor and extremely mature. LSU is very lucky to have him. He will absolutely push Bryce to be the very best.

Having this much QB talent at LSU is still very foreign to me

Underwood might never step foot on campus. It’s early

Between Hurley and Underwood one would have a path like Caleb Williams and other like Malachi Nelson(not saying he is bust... just that he will look else where to succeed)

I really want both to succeed at LSU but highly unlikely. The best man will stay and the other will transfer.

At this point there is no clear answer. Have to wait it out.

Hopefully one of them is the answer!!
This is what good teams do, they take more than one good/great qb and let ‘em decide for themselves on who’s better

I would be surprised if Hurley or even Collins ever play a meaningful snap at LSU, but that’s the cost of getting an elite QB prospect and it’s undoubtedly worth it.

I’ve never seen a cut with all passes thrown in a game from underwood. You can judge a quarterback better by seeing all their throws. I’ve only seen underwood’s highlights. So I can’t really compare the two.
