I recently retired from nearly 30 years in military / law enforcement and love to travel in GOD’s creation and truly enjoy the challenges and rewards of public land hunting. Only have 15 acres of my own, but thankful to have that much! Definitely don’t deserve any of the blessings GOD has provided to me. At this point, I’m looking for a friend(s) who:
1. Love Christ
2. Love other people
3. Love adventure / historical areas
4. Want the challenge of making hunts and the beauty of GOD’s creation

If anyone is interested, please reach out and we can meet for coffee and/or BBQ!

We can negotiate my level of devotion to the faith commensurate to the level of quality of the hunts we go on.

You should check out grinder, I think you'll find what you're looking for.

I hope this is sincere.

Good job putting yourself out there, if so. We all need more friends in meat space. Well, some of you baws may have plenty, but lots of us are going through life feeling alone besides our families.

Whats that 15 acres planted in??? Just kidding.

Good luck. I heard an interview on NPR last week that most men over the age of 35 have no close friends, only family. I know a LOT of men in just that situation. I applaud your effort. May want to join a local hunting club or lease some land and start one that is open to like minded individuals?

This is what I pictured when I opened this thread.

Seriously though, I know it's not as fun and not as safe to go off hunting by yourself. It's also good to split up and have someone to hang out and cook with at the camp. My dad retired a couple of years ago, and luckily found a few retired buddies to hunt and fish with during the week, because why hunt on the weekend when all the other people are there. I'm envious, and wish I were there with him. He doesn't even want to hunt or fish on the weekends anymore because it's too crowded, so I rarely get to hunt with him. Good luck to you, and I hope you find someone willing and healthy enough to go traveling around roughing it with you in new locations.
