Watching War Room’s cold open, I think these MSNBC people believe themselves.

I used to think it was an act to carry the party line, but now I think they really believe what they spew. They truly live in an alternate reality.

The true believers are insane. When there is no fear of reprisal they will come for it all.

If you say something every day for 3 years you believe it.

War Room cold opens are pretty amazing.
I've said for years all conservative politicians need to do is video montage the Dim insanity and pay the money to run those Dim insanity video montages on MSNBC, CNN, ABC,, NBC, CBS, etc.....force the Dim Drone viewers to see the unhinged behavior of their beloved Gaslight Media.

Absolutely so. Read Helmut Schoeck's "Envy" re the German people during Hitler's reign. The power of the 'team player' psychoses is pernicious and utterly uncurable minus a total body/mind shock scenario. They will not wake up from the 'moral-based' stupor. Period. Like David Koresh, many will go to their grave believing they are correct, with their 'martyrdom' cementing said belief.
Same with us all for that matter. Jesus will sort this out, assuming there is a Jesus. Otherwise, it's all just a temporal bad joke and meaningless.

The irony is so thick we are approaching Lizzo territory

Yep, SF, it is. Our whole Reality seems paradoxical and so confusing that many times, I question the effort to even attempt to 'understand' it. Might be better to spend time with beloved. Albeit "all that is needed for evil to triumph if for good men to stand by and do nothing". More irony.

Cult behavior.
And of course they accuse their enemies of being what they themselves are.

They believe like Jesse Smollett believes he was attacked in Chicago that one bitter cold night.
Everything they are & believe in exists on the lies they tell every day.
They know that once they give up the grift, they are done.

The word 'cult' has now become like the word 'racist', GP; just a pejorative meant to insult and publicly humiliate, discredit and disempower those who act as a group in confronting their opposition. But make no mistake, both sides are convinced of their morally superior beliefs, and will take it to the streets.
But like Mike Tyson says..."everybody has a plan until they get hit in the nose". I love that guy; but I wouldn't want to share a house with him.

Well, I’m not sure if there’s a knucklehead cult out there but if so, no doubt you’re a leading figure.
But yes - control of our borders, unleashing our energy capabilities, tough on crime, America first, etc….very cultish I’m sure in your world view.

Perhaps to an extent RCD but to date, I’ve only consistently seen one of the two sides attempting actionable measures to try and silence dissenting thought and I’ve only consistently seen one of the two sides whose supporters are often reduced to wild-eyed primal screams if they aren’t getting their way.

No doubt some folks live in an alternative reality, but I wouldn’t
say it’s MSNBC. It’s the folks who declare anything they don’t want to believe as “fake news”.
I hope I live long enough to see the results of rigorous research into this era of American history.

If you think history is going to validate the lies and deception from the current leftist news media as being the truth then you're going to be sorely disappointed.

Interesting, I’ve always thought of those things as pretty fundamental common sense stances.
Strange you consider such things “cultish”, as if such thoughts on matters never existed in people’s minds prior to The Orange Man.

Not necessarily. What crimes has he been convicted of?

I follow Dean obedeliah on Twitter. That guy makes Marx blush. Dude would 100% jail people based on political beliefs. Advocates for it.

If you have, you're rare on the MAGA front. Most of them were Bush Republicans (both times) and big Romney & McCain fans.

The concepts are neutral re: cults. It's the repetition that is the cultish behavior.

None....yet. I doubt he makes it through all of the current prosecutions unscathed, due solely to venue
