Erving is a good player and has shown some promise.

Penning seems too slow to play LT and maybe even RT. I think his future is at guard. My guess is he’s a bad technician and we don’t have anyone who can train him to be better.

Between Davenport, Turner, and Penning, our first round picks are looking terrible since 2018. Olave looked good last year, but has been a disappointment this year. Ruiz has come around, but it was a rough first two years. Breese is looking really really good. But it’s been a lot of misses.

If it were strictly ability, I feel certain he'd at least be an extra TE in short yardage. He was a good run blocker last year

Totally disagree. The offense around him was disappointing but he was quietly the only bright spot. Despite how terrible the overall offense was.

I don’t understand why he’s not good enough to play backup guard… That makes zero sense
