The girl that got away can't be someone they've never dated. Jfc do people think this?

????

Think of a crush you may have had in high school who brushed you off, she didn’t like you like that… Then you never got the chance because she married the next guy she dated (met in HS) and had a family

Many young men also have irrational expectations...as do many young women. If it ain't a super model they ain't interested and if it is they are afraid to approach it. I get it, hot is hot and always has been, but most men are not hot themselves...most of us, men and women, are about average....but that is unacceptable.

The easy access to porn is part of this.

Fwiw I think another part of the issue is that women no longer feel the need to settle. A lot of people in my parents generation and even younger got married because the woman needed some degree of financial stability since they usually made less money than men. Now it's different. There are hundreds of thousands of women with e-mail jobs in every major city, they make six figures or close to it, live in nice apartments, have their own social circle, travel, etc. They feel like they don't need to settle for a guy that they're not completely enamored with.

It sounds mean but I see a lot of guys that are about 50+ who are married with kids who if they'd been born 25 years later would be online on some incel board. It's just that back when they were younger women didn't have nearly as many options and were much more willing to settle down.

Like I said, Margot Robbie is the one that got away for me.

The one that got away is the one you dated in college but you were being too much of a jackoff and she left or you left her

Unless you are actually a Chad(with legit looks/height or wealth that is obvious from pictures) then dont feed the beast. If you cant get a date from a 5 or higher in 2 weeks, delete the shite. You will save yourself so much time from being strung along.

I’ve been on many dates using Bumble over the last year, and I’m 5’7” and a little overweight. However, I am a doctor and make good money. Had this one originally Vietnamese girl, very hot and a decade younger than me, all over me to get me to support her and her daughter, but I had to draw the line at her mother living with us and kicked her to the curb.

Well if they are getting all these messages they are claiming they don't, they need to change their profile, be honest that it's all about looks, and stop lying. From the lack of replies I got I knew it was more than what their stated gripe was...I'm sorry but I can't play their stupid games so I tapped out. I would rather be single than have a game playing liar who would sink me at some point if I were to start dating them.

It’s funny looking back now at whom in your HS class/childhood got married and stayed married… and put that up against who you wanted then

Like for example a senior prom date who eventually became part of a throuple in CA… bullet dodged.

I kind of consider it a point of pride that everyone I seemed to want married other people and stayed married lol… tells me they would have been good wives

I know two people like this. One of my best friend’s brother and the other is my BIL.

The first has a post graduate degree and makes six figures. Very driven with work. But he’s just awkward. He’s 30 and never had a girlfriend and a general contempt about women and spending money on dates. So much so that he doesn’t even try.

My BIL is a little over 30 and has never had a girlfriend in the 12+ years I’ve known him. Good looking dude but has no drive. He also doesn’t even try dating.

It’s just strange to me

My junior prom date just got nominated for a national award in her field. I was fricked up for a long time over her but it never would have worked.

My senior prom date isn’t as accomplished but is a sweetie with three beautiful daughters and is still married. That one probably could have worked if it had gotten real legs.

Internet dating has flipped the tables for a lot of people. Older established men with money get all the say. They have access to college girls to older women.

College age/not established guys that aren’t attractive get to attempt to pick at what’s left. Older established women have unrealistic ideas that they can find an equal, lol those days are gone. Their equals can go hook up with college girls.

Why would you assume all his kids are gonna be f'ed up? Sure youll get one or two but a bunch more high IQ, highly productive citizens is fine with me. Its not like Elon is gonna be a deadbeat

There was a girl that I dated off and on 3 different times over about 6 years. This was a time when I was trying to get my shite together and just couldn’t close the deal. She was sexy as hell.

I googled her name not long ago and get a mug shot where she was arrested for domestic violence. Those cute redneck girls are a handfull. Needless to say the years haven’t been kind.

Of the teenage crushes I missed on, one got pregnant before hs ended, and the other is a married veterinarian with a kid, so I guess my picker is batting .500.
