He was never that great to begin with. In 2022, he got bailed out by Perkins a lot. The games we lost in 2022 were primarily because they couldn’t get timely stops in various situations.

This year it was just amplified because the talent was lacking.

Gave up:
40 to Tennessee
38 to 8&4
50 to Georgia

And all of those could’ve been worse honestly.

I don't know that House was great. But the D was so piece meal I thought he did ok in '22. The A&M and UGA collapses were explained away then by lack of DL depth.

Our valleys on D were no lower than on O in '22 (think Arky for example).

Also, when a coach uses a talent like Perkins well, why does the player get all the credit and the coach none. Chief should get credit for using Tyrann as he did in '10.

As for what happened this year I have no idea. Just a total train wreck. And the frustration of realizing all we needed was a few more stops and we're playing for a natty.

They also gave up two TDs and a FG to Bama in the 4th.

Florida also scored 35 points, but some of that was after LSU pulled away.

I wouldn't say 2022 was good, but they certainly made several more clutch plays than 2023.
