TAF is a relic of the time when facilities and such drew recruits...in the NIL era, having money in the collective is more critical.

That being said, do those two entities play nice?

Relic? NIL is only a couple of years old and still changing. We still don’t know how it will all play out. Paying the players is a new cost. The other ones to run an athletics program are still there. TAF will change but it’s not gonna be a relic.

It's like every other political entity in LA. They sword fight over their own best interests. TAF primary goals are supporting Athletic projects and coaching hires. Bayou Traditions is 100% NIL and player recruitment. Both are essential to the overall health of the program. One doesn't want the other bleeding resources financial or otherwise from its goal. You would think they would find a way to pull in the same direction but sadly they don't.

I feel like TAF anx Bayou Traditions shouldn't exist simultaneously. Wouldn't it be more efficient to have one fundraising arm and collaborate with the athletic department on where to spend?
