re: Owning a pet raccoon questions

My previous house was pier and beam, with about 18” clearance off the ground, and after a few years there I had possums living under the house and a raccoon that made an occasional appearance.

I put out traps. Within a few weeks I had disposed of all of the possums. The raccoon didn’t come around at all while the traps were out. He reappeared 2 nights after I picked the traps up. Smart animals.
