I don't know the cost, but I do recommend using Michael Paul's Natural Stone. They did mine, and everything they did was precise and professional.

for something that small I would go with one of the cheap places like E&E granite and cabinets

Not sure how much this will help. We paid about $75/sq foot for a new install for 3" quartzite. I would imagine if you want replacing you would be looking at a minimum of $100/sq foot?

I did my whole kitchen with granite a few years ago in the BR area. It took two slabs. Demo, install, and materials was around $5k. The cost will vary wildly depending on which material you use.

Recently needed almost the exact size, but in Quartz. Wife went to several places and ended up getting a great deal because we go them from the scraps. $800 bucks for both tops, back and side splashes with a sink cut out in each. We installed them.

Shop hard. This is a dirty bunch of sellers. I had a crappy experience with Lowes and told them to stuff it.

In short, I measured my counters, they advertised a rate per square foot, and somehow they were double. They refused to talk it over, give options, break things out, and then got butt hurt when I accused them of having hidden fees. Do not bother with Lowes counters. They suck.

We found a local shop and played coy with them for a month or two and they made a deal. Legacy Granite in Pensacola and Bay Minette. Really quality work, on time, got stuff done, no wheeling and dealing, hidden fees, etc... I don't know if they'll go to Baton Rouge but if they do, ask for Amanda. They did a good job at half the price of Lowes.
