I agree with the NFL

Detroit tried to be deceitful and edged along the lines of cheating to get a cheap 2 pt play successful. And in doing that, they confused the officials also. So it didn’t work out for them. Boo fricking hoo Detroit. Maybe next time, just run a regular play. Or kick the XP when you get busted. OR… convert the 2 points on the following TWO plays you got to attempt AFTER the penalty

As someone else said, none of this even happens if Dallas isn’t called for tripping when a LIONS Dlineman sticks his own foot out to try and trip Pollard. Which would’ve made it 1st and 10 from about the 17 and Dallas takes 3 knees and ends the game

It was a bush league play and off-brand for the Lions which makes it so odd.

Except for the fact that the Head Coach literally told the refs about this trick play before the game so it shouldn’t have been tricking the ref at all

(I love the NFL trying to call a trick play “deception” and “deceptive” to make it seem worse somehow)
