I’m convinced the world and humanity will end simultaneously due to a singular catastrophic event like the sun exploding/imploding, asteroid/meteor/comet strike, volcanic activity like Yellowstone exploding, or massive solar flares.
Until then let’s live it up with our eye primarily on economic prosperity.

It's scheduled to happen in about 3 billion years. Just a drop in the bucket when measured against the eternity of the afterlife.

Imminent. We don't know when the next asteroid will hit Earth, as not all of them are detected with our current observations. There was one that sneaked up on Siberia a few years ago, causing immense local damage.

Always imminent. We can detect unusual activity near a hotspot or caldera, but Yellowstone, Etna, Rainier and other supervolcanoes around the globe are overdue to blow their top.
