He is doing a fine job at ole Miss. the problem he has is that it is ole Miss and they will never win in a league of better coaches and players. My guess is that he has done well enough in both recruiting and coaching that he will be offered greater dollars somewhere other than ole Miss. At that point ole Miss will return to the bottom of the sec. For now though enjoy where you are and try to act like you have been there.

They’re going to be a unanimous preseason number one. Top tier offense and the defense is going to be great.

Ole Miss? Please. They just had their first 11 win season ever. Literally in their history. LSU has had 8. OM is not set up for long term success. Just don’t happen there.

Lane is Saban’s replacement. It’s just a matter of time. By then he will be given the keys to a Ferrari for real. Lane will have a legit understanding of the portal and how to work it then be at Bama just picking up where his idol left off.

The only way I don’t see that happening is if a job like Oklahoma or Florida is offered to Lane.

All that being said I still think Kirby is the main threat to everyone. He’s not going anywhere and will keep winning titles for a long time.

Not based on his coaching history. He has lost less than 3 games 3 times in his 12 year career. He has lost 5 or more games 6 times in 12 years.

He’s a good coach.

Not a great coach. Plain and simple. But to be fair here, BK is sort of in the same boat. Just didn’t have the lows and crashes like Lane.

Spurrier literally ruled the sec for a couple of years. Kiffen has never won ,scratch that... even played for anything of note as a hc.

Kelly has made the playoffs.

And that's the difference.

Let's look not act like kiffen wouldn't leave Ole miss right now if someone bigger came calling.

Auburn tried to get him last season. Don’t even try to say that’s even remotely close to being a lateral move.

actually think Kelly should offer him the job"

And do you think Kiffen would accept the job? No chance. Nada.

Kiffen’s nutlickers don’t like inconvenient facts that point out his penchant for inconsistency.

I remember several years ago when Chip Kelly had oregon humming pretty decently and consistently. The flatbill and White oakley wearing HoF travel ball/xbox/playstation coaches on the rant wanted Chip Kelly at all costs because he was the “in thing” with his offense. Now he’s a has been and is barely holding on at ucla.
The same applies to kiffin at ol piss.
Listen well, kiffin at ol piss will NEVER win a national title. Ever! LSU will win another title before ol’ piss or kiffin sniff one.
kiffin is a flash in the pan choke artist and a clown.

Member when Brian Kelly and LSU whipped kiffins arse last year? Pepperidge farm members.

Kelly has a 73% winning percentage as a head coach and won the SEC West in year 1, Kiffen has a 64% winning percentage and didn't win the SEC East at TN or the SEC West yet at OM.

It would be if you see where the programs were.

Auburn
2020 - 5 losses
2021 - 7 losses
2022 - 7 losses

Kiffin is not sustainable. That’s why Ole Miss is going all in next year. I’ll bet dollars to donuts he loses 3 games next year and he has trouble managing his roster. He’s a perpetual child. Ole Miss needs to suck what they can out of him now.

So you clearly don’t understand the lay of the land. Auburn has deep pockets. Is located right down the road from ATL and has a history. I.E. Auburn has been there and done this before.

How can anyone that knows the SEC legit try to argue that ole Miss is a better job than Auburn?

While Ole Miss will be challenging in 2024. The way kiffin is running Ole Miss they are only looking for 1 year wonder short term success. Brian Kelly doesn't have to run the lsu program that way because it's a proven brand already that just needs to be ran more consistently

He has been coaching for almost 20 years and never won a single conference championship. He had two high profile jobs with all the resources and failed miserably.

He is good for having a decent season but never win any championships
