Rush was a way to contain the outrage of the right. He spouted many things that were correct, but rarely offered solutions to them. The best thing he did was telling people in states where they didn't restrict primary voting by party to go vote for the worst primary candidate. That actually made a difference.
Aside from that he was a pressure valve that released pressure when the most pressure would have made a difference. He contained the anger and made us believe in the political process, which has been shown to be bullshite.

Rush also warned us that the Dems hate elections, feel insulted that they even have to bother with elections, and would stop and nothing to basically cheat/rig “elections” to maintain their rightful power.
