Denbrock told his agent to find him another job. His family didn't like living here. He got him A&M Woodward and BK counters and convinced him to stay (did not match A&M money).
When the ND job came up, Woodward and BK decided to keep the original deal and did not pressure Denbrock to stay, realizing they didn't want to money whip a guy who didn't want to be here.

Denbrock's home is 2 hours from ND campus. He is 59 years old. Going home....

No it’s that he’s 60 years old with no aspirations of ever being a HC so a chance to move 1 1/2 hours from home at that age is appealing. LSU will be fine, Denbrock did not make LSU, Jayden Daniels did. I think we will have some juice injected if they just hand the keys to Sloan.
