Several years ago they did make a smaller moon pie, like three inch diameter.

Dollar Tree still sold these the last time I was there a few months ago. Got a box of the banana ones for the hell of it.

They still make them.
The Chattanooga Boy Scout Council sells the small ones instead of popcorn in the fall. They worked out a deal with Moon Pie to get a better cut of profits than what they got with popcorn. I rather give a donation than eat that shite though. They are terrible.
