With all due respect to anyone that says that, you guys are either full of shite or have never seen a wolf pack up close including in a zoo. Wolves aren't small, 4+ 80lb+ animals running around isn't a fricking joke. These aren't fox or even coyotes, I know multiple people including my mom that was chased walking her dog by a coyote. Now, change that to an animal twice the size.

I don't think anyone is arguing that a wolf isn't a bad arse animal/scary.

I can't explain it as you are right wolf attacks have NOT been happening. I see no reason for this outside of just statistically it hasnt happened YET.

It's been a few months and I can't find the article but there is something like 15,000-20,000 wolves in the US. It seems that people think wolves were almost non existent in the US until these handful of wolves were re-introduced. It's pretty easy to explain why wolves aren't killing humans because they are scared of humans. These few wolves aren't going to change that.

I'll ask you this, would you feel safe allowing my 10 year old daughter to walk our dog in an area with a wolf pack?

1. Not sure I'd feel safe letting my 10 year old daughter walk our dog by herself in most residential neighborhoods. 2. In the area wolves are being re-introduced I'd 100% be much more worried about a bear or even a mountain lion attacking her than I would a wolf. That is much more common. And you're not going to let them do that in those areas in the first place honestly.

I agree that so far wolves haven’t been a threat. I just don’t know how anyone can explain it other than a statistical anomaly time wise. You can’t tell me a pack of wolves is more scared of people then a mountain lion or black bear, and those attacks happen. They are rare also, for sure.

Here’s a quote from coyotes, i just don’t believe wolves are that much different then coyotes.

“We have documented 367 attacks on humans by coyotes from 1977 through 2015, of which 165 occurred in California. Of 348 total victims of coyote attack, 209 (60%) were adults, and 139 (40%) were children (age =10 years). Children (especially toddlers) are at greater risk of serious injury.”
