The only edge Daniels has is his running ability. In every other aspect of being a QB Burrow is far and above better than Daniels.

That’s what people don’t remember about Burrow. We did have some terrible defensive performances early to midway through 2019 and Burrow just simply scored even more and still ran away from most of those teams. It didn’t matter if the D was bad or not Burrow curb stomped people either way.

Burrow… JD was amazing this year but I’m not sure how well he would have done without his running ability. Joe ran when he had to and was effective.

All the people saying "it isn't even close" sound like fools. There are objective measurements that have Daniels pretty much the same level of throwing as Burrow (if not better) and we know JD is by far the better runner.

Because padding stats vs Army isn’t the same as setting records vs top 5 teams. Burrow averaged about 40+ more total ypg and over 2 TDs more than JD vs top competition or when the D gave up 30+ points.

I'm sorry, but people like you that were pumping Nuss over Daniels lose credibility when it comes to discussions about Daniels. You've already shown your bias against Daniels.

For example, your post talks about Daniels padding stats against Army. First, Army was ranked 20th in passing defense in 2023. Second, you don't think Burrow padded stats against Georgia Southern (5 TDs) , Northwestern State (403 yds), and Utah State (6 TDs) in 2019?!?!

Based on what metric? There isn't a quantifiable metric that suggests Burrow was a better QB

He had similar games in 2019. TX/FSU and Ole Miss. Both of those games were shootouts and Burrow showed up in the fourth quarter when he needed to. There’s no reason he wouldn’t have done it this year too. Only game that would’ve been a toss up is Alabama and I am taking a Burrow lead team against them too.
