Can’t wait to see him get a few weeks of practice with the starters to see how he does. Generational arm strength that we got flashes of in last years SECCG.

This is the way.

If he doesn’t do well you’re ramping up transfer efforts.

I like this. Have him give us a preview of what’s to come in 2024. Glad Jayden sat out and I wish him great success in the NFL.

He has a good arm but this statement is a stretch. Russell and Mettenberger are within a generation

As a pure thrower he is better than Daniels in that aspect. Of course he, (nor many people) will ever be the runner Daniels was. Daniels was also very careful with the football (sometime to a fault).

Biggest questions are:

(1) Can Nussmeier learn to play smart within his high confidence level. You WANT your QB to have big time confidence and feel he can make every play...any time. But the greats are controlled enough to know they can't make every throw any time and know how to control their swagger to their advantage.

(2) Can Denbrock tailor an offense to Nussmeier. For multiple years now (even predating LSU) Denbrock has had a QB who always could save a play with his feet. He also could call plays knowing the defense had to account for a runner at QB. Nussmeier is at his best when he's playing in rhythm. Will we see more quick throws to speed up the tempo and reduce the need for Nussmeier to want to ad-lib...which can sometimes get him in trouble?

Will be fine i think. Also he knows at least for now, he is QB1. That should het him in the right frame of mind.

Nuss will do okay but let’s be realistic here

We’ve seen the best performance ever in tiger history so there’s going to be considerable drop off. Fans need to be considerate of that.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Nuss can do, but "generational arm strength" and comparisons to Rodgers and Marino...let's pump the breaks.

I hope he plays great in the bowl and leads us to the natty next season, but some people may be setting their expectations a little high. There's a reason we hit the portal last year.

A reasonable yet still lofty expectation would be to think Nuss has the potential to develop into a Mettenberger type QB for us. If he turns into Aaron fricking Rodgers, great.

I was always down with JD over Nuss but the world has again moved on.

So now I'm moving my gear onto the Nuss Bus and hoping for great things. I wish him the very best.

I think people are going to be pretty disappointed in Nuss following this seasons's offensive production
