I guess because with Burrow we had the playoff games and the natty. It sure seems Jayden’s time here just flew by. Almost a Jayden, we hardly knew ye.

I understand Jayden not playing. He could get into a serious car accident or get shot around Baton Rouge too.

I once worried about failing a calculus exam that I was prepared for. I was nervous while in thermodynamics class. My meteorology advisor told me not to worry because I might get hit by a car on my way to take the math exam.

Bowl games are not fun to watch any more . Especially if you have a backup receiver playing QB.

There is no way that Brian Kelly should have let him on the field anyway. As a coach, sometimes you have to help a player get is head out of his arse. In this case, Jayden made the right decision.

Being the first ever Heisman trophy winner to not join his teammates for the bowl game the team earned the right to play in is a dubious honor for Jayden

this type of argument always makes me shake my head.

Of course other aspects of life have risk. You could drop dead of an aneurysm, slip in the shower, fall off a ladder, etc.

But those risks are FAR, FAR, FAR less than the risk of injury in a football game. And, for the most part, a person can control most of life's other risks.

But you can't really control what happens in a football game. He could get his knee blown out without even seeing the defender coming.

Not surprised. I'm fine with it. Will give Nuss valuable experience with an extra game before next year.

But but, he is like Gumby and made out of rubber..... He won't get hurt!

Nah... Out of every person to ever opt out, I am perfectly happy and OK with this decision. JD5 gave us an amazing 2 year run, but especially this year, where he had more yards and a better passer rating after 12 games than Joe Big Dick Burrow, which I did not think that was ever possible to see that kind of throwing ability again for an LSU QB, then the added element of his legs was unbelievable to watch. Furthermore, he won a lil award called "The Heisman"...

He can bow out now a great player and championship player, just wish our defense could have shown up.

Good luck in the NFL, now I will have 3 teams to cheer for, The Saints, Bengals and where JD5 lands.

Nuss got this bowl game and next year, then hopefully the Underwood show begins!

Anyone who had one shred of a thought he'd play in this bowl game is a dummy.

Bowl Games that aren't playoff games will eventually be exhibitions for underclassmen and that's fine with me. I wanna see what we have in the cupboard.
