I injured my shoulder in Dec. 2013, had surgery in Feb 2014, and when I only took one week off work, my husband was like- I took off a whole month when I had shoulder surgery.

I told him, yeah I know, but I've also taken care of you when you had the flu so...

Exactly!!

I’m one of those weird horse girls that just ignores any injury. If I actually go to the doctor my friends know it is serious

Guys have a cough and they’re dying.

I hung around 2 83 y/o men for 12 hours today. they both needed a lot of pampering and babying.

but frfr, they were both so sweet. big ole babies, but sweet as pie.

confession time:

because the injury to my shoulder was not a work related injury, the hospital was not required to accommodate me with a desk type job in the ER and I could not return to work until I could lift 50lbs with my right arm and had achieved a certain degree of shoulder mobility....

I was in PT and off work for 6 months

That sucks. You’d think they want to keep good nurses from looking elsewhere…

I’ve torn ligaments in my ankle 3 times but I’m not doing anything about it. Can’t deal with the downtime from surgery.

my surgery was on valentines day in 2014, so I ended up being off work all summer.

I didn't complain.

my orthopedic surgeon is a good friend of mine and he drug my return to work date out past Labor day.

I got everything framed up. The refrigerator won’t be delivered until after Christmas.

Will look similar to this except just a single glass door with floor to ceiling cabinets on both sides.
