Why is the sack of Constantinople such a sticking point for the Orthodox in their view of Rome?
It’s a subject of the history of the bitter divorce that followed after 1054…it showed the base and darkness of the Crusader armies to invade the most beautiful city of Christendom and sack it, kill Christians and rape and pillage.
Does it have anything to do with living in Christ today…no, it’s in the past so its presence on chart is to show dichotomy of how far Rome went away from the East.

It is a sad chapter in Christian history, just as there are sad instances of venetian or french alliances with the Ottomans at times when they were busy trying to sack Vienna or engaged in Christian enslavement.
I think the point I was trying to make is that the Orthodox have a unique penchant for victimhood, and as evidenced by your biased chart, have a hard time getting over an event that they try to conflate with an official act of the RCC.
Was it a sad instance of men denying their call to act as Christ would have us act? Yes. So to was Peter's denial of Jesus 3x.
The Crusades features plenty of bad behavior by Byzantium towards those who answered the Pope's call to arms in defense of the faith. I think your average Catholic doesn't hold that against the Orthodox community and more seriously wishes for you and your kind to return to Communion with neither Church. I get the feeling that the Orthodox feel consumed by their status as rebels, and find an identity in it instead of finding an identity in their membership in Christ's visible Church.
My hope for you: recognize Peter's role, recognize the validity of all parts of Apostolic Succession, and join yourself back fully to Rome.
